You will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients in a 24/7 inpatient mental health unit focused on short-term admissions.
Your duties include patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of treatment plans alongside multidisciplinary teams.
You will play a leadership role on shift, coordinating ward activities including admissions and discharges, and providing clinical support to nursing staff. Familiarity with the Mental Health Act 2014 and care for patients experiencing self-harm or suicidal ideation is essential.
Requirements
- AHPRA Registered Nurse
- Proven experience in acute psychiatric nursing
- Strong communication, leadership, and advanced clinical mental health nursing skills
- Knowledge of Mental Health Act 2014 and relevant legislation
- Current C or C-A class driver’s licence
- Commitment to quality improvement and safe nursing practices
