Our client is seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters with exposure to chemical plants, fuel terminals, refineries, or other high-risk industrial environments to support a growing workload based in Eagle Farm.
This is a temp-to-perm opportunity offering long-term stability and career growth. We are also open to considering committed 3rd Year Mechanical Fitting Apprentices looking to further develop their skills in a specialised industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance and repair work on:
    • Storage tanks (fixed and floating roofs)
    • Transfer pumps and meters
    • Pipeline systems
    • Vapour recovery systems
    • Filtration and additive systems
  • Conduct mechanical and energy isolations
  • Complete maintenance activities safely and efficiently
  • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Maintain strong safety, quality, and environmental standards
Skills & Experience Fuel terminal and refinery environments are high-risk workplaces, so a strong commitment to safety is essential. You will ideally demonstrate experience with:
  • Mechanical maintenance in industrial environments
  • Basic fabrication and instrumentation
  • Hazardous area awareness
  • Permit to Work (PTW) systems
  • Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
  • Mechanical and energy isolations
  • Confined space entry
  • Hot work controls
  • Strong communication skills and work ethic
Tickets & Licences
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Mechanical Trade Qualification or Certificate II with relevant industry experience
  • White Card
  • Work at Heights (required)
  • Confined Space Entry & Gas Testing (required)
  • HRWL – EWP (desirable)
Apprentices Welcome We encourage applications from 3rd Year Mechanical Fitting Apprentices who can commit to full-time hours and are eager to learn within a fuel terminal and industrial maintenance environment. Training and mentoring will be provided for the right candidates.

  • Ability to pass a Drug & Alcohol screen
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
