About the Opportunity
Stellar Recruitment is proud to partner with Harmony, one of the world's leading gold and copper producers, to recruit a Field Engineer for the Eva Copper Mine Project in North West Queensland.
This is a rare opportunity to join the owner's team during construction of one of Queensland's newest copper mines. The Eva Copper Mine represents a major investment in Australia's critical minerals sector and will produce copper for at least the next 15 years.
Working as part of the site delivery team, you'll play a key role in ensuring construction activities are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required engineering standards.
About Harmony
Harmony is the largest gold producer by volume in South Africa and a significant operator of gold tailings retreatment facilities.
In Papua New Guinea, Harmony owns and operates the Hidden Valley Mine and holds a 50% interest in the Tier 1 Wafi-Golpu Copper-Gold Project.
In Australia, Harmony owns the CSA Copper Mine in Cobar, NSW and is currently constructing the Eva Copper Mine near Cloncurry, Queensland. These operations are supported by Harmony's Australasia corporate office in Milton, Brisbane.
The Eva Copper Mine is a strategically important project within Harmony's global copper growth strategy, with construction expected to continue through to first production in the second half of 2028.
About the Role
Reporting to the Construction Manager, the Field Engineer will provide site-based engineering support across a major construction program.
Working closely with contractors and project teams, you'll ensure engineering, safety, quality, environmental and program requirements are achieved throughout construction.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate multi discipline engineering activities across multiple work fronts (Civil, Structural Mechanical).
- Develop, review and manage construction work packs to support safe and efficient delivery.
- Provide technical support and resolve site engineering queries during construction.
- Ensure works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and quality requirements.
- Prepare and maintain engineering documentation and safe work practices.
- Work closely with engineering, design and construction teams to support successful project delivery.
About You
To be successful, you'll bring:
- Degree qualification in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years' experience delivering major construction or mining projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies and field engineering.
- Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
- Previous experience working on remote construction or mining projects will be highly regarded.
