As the Senior Risk Officer, you will:
- Support the development, implementation, and enhancement of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
- Maintain and administer the organisation's risk register, key risk indicators (KRIs), and control framework.
- Partner with senior leadership and business units to identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate operational and strategic risks.
- Develop, review, and update risk-related policies, procedures, and governance documentation.
- Monitor policy review cycles and provide reporting to senior committees and key stakeholders.
- Prepare management information, risk reports, dashboards, and analysis to support decision-making.
- Act as a key liaison between internal auditors and business functions, supporting audit activities and remediation efforts.
- Promote a strong risk culture through training, guidance, business continuity planning, incident management, and risk awareness initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related discipline, or significant equivalent experience within risk management.
- At least 5 years' experience in risk management, compliance, governance, or a related regulatory function within financial services.
- Strong understanding of enterprise risk management frameworks, controls, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex information and translate it into practical business solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting to senior stakeholders and committees.
- Proven organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to collaborate across departments and stakeholder groups.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
