The Health, Safety & Risk Specialist will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and continuously improving this client’s Health, Safety, and Risk Management systems. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with legislation, codes of practice, and industry standards.
You will also be required to go to their regional sites a couple of times a year.
We are looking for someone who has a strong personality and who can influence, and negotiate with, stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
- Health, Safety & Risk Management: Develop, implement, and manage occupational health and safety management plans. Conduct risk assessments, recommend solutions, and ensure all operational procedures meet established standards
- Legislative Compliance: Ensure health, safety, and risk services align with legislative requirements and company expectations. Monitor and track processes to ensure compliance
- Leadership and Collaboration: Partner with stakeholders to enhance safety performance, develop policies, and maintain a safety-first culture. Provide leadership to Health and Safety Representatives
- Training and Education: Coordinate health and safety training programs, promoting a safety-conscious work environment through education and engagement
- Continuous Improvement: Analyse data and trends, prepare reports, and recommend improvements to strengthen health, safety, and risk management processes
- Experience in implementing health and safety management systems and leading safety training initiatives
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills with the ability to build effective relationships
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or significant experience in health, safety, and risk management
- Demonstrated ability to provide high-level advisory and consultancy services across an agricultural or related industry
- Strong knowledge of health, safety, and risk management legislation, codes of practice, and industry standards
