Senior Total Rewards Leader

Salary up to $135,000.00 DOE

Our organization is seeking an experienced Senior Total Rewards Leader to develop, enhance, and execute enterprise-wide compensation and benefits strategies across a complex, multi-site organization. This is a fully remote opportunity for a strategic HR professional who can partner effectively with executive leadership and translate business objectives into competitive, data-driven Total Rewards programs.

About the Role

The Senior Total Rewards Leader will have significant influence over the organization's compensation and benefits strategy, including compensation planning, merit programs, market adjustments, incentive plans, and the ongoing evolution of the employee benefits strategy.

The successful candidate will bring a combination of strategic vision, analytical expertise, financial acumen, and strong executive communication skills. This individual must be comfortable working in a complex organization and balancing enterprise-wide consistency with the needs of different business units and employee populations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and continuously evolve the organization's enterprise-wide Total Rewards strategy.
  • Lead compensation planning processes, including merit increases, market adjustments, salary structures, and annual compensation reviews.
  • Develop and evaluate incentive compensation programs aligned with organizational and business objectives.
  • Conduct market pricing and compensation analysis to ensure programs remain competitive and internally equitable.
  • Partner with executive leadership to provide strategic recommendations regarding compensation, benefits, and Total Rewards.
  • Develop financial models and quantitative analyses to evaluate the cost and effectiveness of compensation and benefits programs.
  • Analyze workforce and compensation data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
  • Lead the ongoing development and enhancement of the organization's benefits strategy.
  • Evaluate benefits programs, market trends, and employee needs to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Establish compensation and benefits practices that support recruitment, retention, performance, and organizational growth.
  • Prepare executive-level presentations, recommendations, and business cases related to Total Rewards initiatives.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, leadership, and other stakeholders to ensure Total Rewards programs support broader organizational objectives.
  • Ensure compensation and benefits programs are administered consistently and effectively across multiple locations and employee populations.
  • Stay current on compensation, benefits, incentive, and Total Rewards trends and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success building or transforming enterprise Total Rewards strategies within a complex, multi-site organization.
  • Proven experience partnering directly with executive leadership and influencing strategic decisions.
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, and quantitative skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of compensation design, market pricing, salary structures, and incentive plan development.
  • Experience leading compensation planning, merit increase programs, market adjustments, and incentive planning.
  • Experience developing and evolving an organization's benefits strategy.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, relationship-building, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to translate complex compensation and benefits data into clear recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Strong strategic thinking combined with the ability to execute and manage programs from concept through implementation.
  • Experience working with confidential and sensitive compensation and employee information.
