Senior Systems Engineer - MECM Specialist

The Opportunity
This is a 6 month contract opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer with strong MECM, Microsoft endpoint, and enterprise systems administration experience. You will support a major digital workplace transition, including Windows 11 SOE alignment, Active Directory and Entra ID uplift, security baseline enforcement, application repackaging, and device rebuild or redeployment activity across a large-scale Microsoft environment.

The Role
In this role, you will provide hands-on systems engineering expertise across Microsoft endpoint, identity, server, and deployment technologies.

• Administer and support Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, including OS deployments, distribution points, application packaging, and software updates.
• Support Windows 11 SOE alignment, device rebuilds, redeployments, and endpoint transition activities.
• Work across Active Directory, Entra ID, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft Windows Server environments.
• Use PowerShell, batch scripting, and command line automation to improve deployment and administration outcomes.
• Configure and support application control technologies, including Windows Defender and ManageEngine Application Control.
• Create technical documentation, diagrams, recommendations, and support material to professional standards.

About You
You will need to bring deep hands-on Microsoft infrastructure capability, not just general support experience. This role requires someone who can operate confidently in complex enterprise environments.

• 7+ years’ experience in large-scale enterprise systems administration or systems engineering environments.
• Strong MECM administration and design experience across deployments, packaging, updates, and distribution points.
• High-level PowerShell, scripting, and automation capability.
• Strong Windows 11 Desktop OS and Windows Server 2016 to 2025 experience.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, Entra ID, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and enterprise identity environments.
• Experience managing Windows virtualised servers in a VMware environment.
