Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Accountant to join the team for an initial six-month engagement. This is a 6-month temporary opportunity and is ideal for someone who can quickly get up to speed and contribute from day one. You'll take ownership of month-end activities across the New Zealand business while supporting broader finance projects, audit requirements, and process improvement initiatives. This is a varied role that combines hands-on accounting responsibilities with opportunities to challenge existing processes and drive efficiencies. The team is currently managing a busy audit period alongside several strategic initiatives, making this an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded accountant who enjoys solving problems and improving the way things are done.

Ngā kawenga | What You'll Be Doing

Mōhou ake | About You

We're looking for someone who enjoys understanding how things work and isn't afraid to challenge existing processes when a better solution exists. You'll bring: CA or CPA qualification ||| Experience working the financial services sector ||| Experience in month-end accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting ||| Audit exposure and confidence dealing with auditors ||| Strong analytical and problem-solving skills ||| Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills ||| A proactive, inquisitive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement ||| The ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment. Experience with Oracle ERP, TM1, or large-scale reporting environments would be advantageous but is not essential.
