We are working with a national wholesale distribution company seeking a dynamic and results-driven Branch Manager to lead their wholesale distribution operations . The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong business acumen, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record in managing wholesale distribution centers. As the Branch Manager, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence, fostering a customer-centric culture, and achieving financial targets within the assigned branch. Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership:
- Oversee all aspects of branch operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, and efficient warehouse layout.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize workflow, reduce costs, and enhance overall efficiency.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure operational targets are met and take corrective actions as needed.
Team Management:
- Lead, coach, and mentor a diverse team of warehouse staff, supervisors, and administrative personnel.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and identify opportunities for professional development.
Customer Focus:
- Cultivate strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
- Collaborate with sales teams to align distribution efforts with customer demands, preferences, and market trends.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and effective manner.
Financial Management:
- Develop and manage branch budgets, closely monitoring expenses and revenue to achieve profitability goals.
- Analyze financial data, generate reports, and make informed decisions to drive cost savings and revenue growth.
- Identify potential revenue streams and explore opportunities for upselling and cross-selling products.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and enforce proper handling of goods, equipment, and machinery.
- Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective measures as necessary.
Supply Chain Collaboration:
- Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure optimal inventory levels and timely replenishment.
- Work closely with suppliers and vendors to negotiate favorable terms and maintain strong partnerships.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Years of experience in wholesale distribution or related field, with a proven track record of progressively increasing leadership responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and supply chain dynamics.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, particularly in high-pressure situations.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and compliance.
