Apply directRedpath Partners are partnering with a leading hyperscale data centre operator to appoint a Controls & Building Management Systems Engineer in Sydney.
This is an autonomous technical role responsible for the reliability, optimisation and performance of the control systems within a mission-critical data centre environment.
The Role
You will take ownership of the site's control systems, working closely with operations and technical teams to keep critical infrastructure reliable and performing at its best.
Key responsibilities:- Maintain, troubleshoot and optimise Building Management and Distributed Control Systems.
- Lead fault finding, incident response and root cause analysis.
- Program and troubleshoot Tridium Niagara, PLC and direct digital control systems.
- Manage BACnet, Modbus and other control system communication protocols.
- Identify and deliver plant, system and energy-efficiency improvements.
- Support maintenance, commissioning, defect rectification and improvement projects.
About You
- 3+ years' experience with Tridium Niagara-based control systems.
- Strong experience across Building Management, Distributed Control, PLC or SCADA systems.
- Good understanding of HVAC, electrical, UPS and chilled water systems.
- Hands-on experience with PLC programming, direct digital control and BACnet/Modbus.
- Strong troubleshooting, networking and server administration skills.
- Able to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Data centre or other mission-critical environment experience highly desirable.
- Comfortable working autonomously and taking ownership of technical issues.
