Commercial Manager
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to lead the commercial and contractual functions on a major civil infrastructure project. Working closely with the Project Director and delivery team, you will drive commercial performance through effective contract administration, procurement, financial management, forecasting and risk management.
This is a hands-on role within a lean project team, requiring a commercially astute professional who can influence project outcomes, protect the business's commercial position and build strong relationships with clients and subcontractors.

Working closely with the Project Director and delivery team, you will drive commercial performance through effective contract administration, procurement, financial management, forecasting and risk management.
This is a hands-on role within a lean project team, requiring a commercially astute professional who can influence project outcomes, protect the business's commercial position and build strong relationships with clients and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all commercial and contractual aspects of the project.
- Manage GC21 contract administration, variations and claims.
- Oversee procurement, subcontract management and commercial negotiations.
- Prepare monthly progress claims, forecasting, cost reporting and cash flow management.
- Monitor commercial risks and opportunities, providing strategic advice to the project team.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, governance and reporting requirements.
- Mentor junior team members and drive continuous improvement.
- 10+ years' experience within the civil construction industry, including at least five years with a principal contractor.
- Experience delivering civil infrastructure or road projects valued between $50M-$200M.
- Strong knowledge of GC21 contracts, TfNSW projects and Schedule of Rates commercial frameworks.
- Proven background in procurement, contract administration, forecasting and financial controls.
- Strong negotiation, stakeholder management and leadership skills.
- Confident influencing commercial outcomes while maintaining strong client relationships.
- Collaborative, accountable and solutions-focused with a commitment to safe, high-quality project delivery.
