Group Product Manager

About the opportunity

A leading retail media business is seeking an accomplished Group Product Manager to lead the product function behind its Ads Manager platform, the central environment through which advertising campaigns are planned, executed and measured. The platform is in a period of rapid scale and sustained growth, presenting a unique opportunity to define product best practice and make a visible contribution to its long-term direction.

Operating as a player-coach, the successful candidate will lead and develop a team of three Product Managers while owning the consolidated product roadmap. The role serves as the senior product counterpart to engineering, design, commercial and executive stakeholders, ensuring strategic priorities are translated into commercially meaningful outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end development and delivery of the consolidated product roadmap for the Ads Manager platform
• Lead, mentor and develop a team of three Product Managers, fostering a culture of accountability, excellence and continuous growth
• Consolidate multiple product roadmaps into a single prioritised plan, balancing competing demands through sound strategic trade-offs
• Partner with engineering, design and commercial stakeholders to drive alignment, manage dependencies and enable efficient delivery
• Align product decisions with commercial objectives, contributing directly to revenue and profit growth
• Maintain a structured cadence of engagement with senior stakeholders to secure alignment, support and contribution to the product vision
• Embed product management best practice across discovery, delivery and go-to-market
• Apply data and insights to inform prioritisation and measure the impact of product initiatives
• Identify and champion emerging technologies and opportunities that enhance the client and product experience
• Ensure initiatives are delivered on time and within budget, with change management and go-to-market requirements fully considered
  

Requirements

• 10+ years of product management experience
• 3+ years in a formal people leadership capacity managing Product Managers (e.g. Head of Product, Principal or Group Product Manager)
• Demonstrated success managing and scaling complex B2B or SaaS digital platforms
• Proven experience overseeing multiple product lines or a product portfolio, including roadmap consolidation and prioritisation
• Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to connect product strategy to business outcomes
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with a track record of influencing and aligning senior leaders across functions
• Sound technical understanding, including APIs, the software development lifecycle and system integration, sufficient to engage credibly with engineering teams
• A genuine commitment to coaching and developing product talent
• Resilience and adaptability within a fast-paced environment characterised by evolving priorities
  

Desirable

• Experience within ad tech, retail media or eCommerce
• Background in media, advertising, publishing or a closely related industry
• Exposure to self-serve platforms, campaign management or measurement and reporting products
• User-centric or design-led product background
• Experience leading product teams through periods of rapid growth or significant change
• A collaborative, service-oriented leadership style
