A leading Australian retail organisation with a significant national footprint is looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join its growing technology team.
This is a hands on role focused on designing, building and continuously improving DevOps and automation capabilities across a large scale enterprise environment. You will play a key role in enabling the safe, reliable and efficient delivery of technology solutions that support business critical operations across a distributed network.
What you will be doing

• Design, build and maintain Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines across build, test, release and deployment processes
• Drive automation initiatives across cloud, infrastructure and application delivery environments
• Support Azure services including Key Vault, Azure Monitor, Service Bus and App Configuration
• Work across hybrid environments spanning Azure, edge infrastructure, Kubernetes, Docker and Linux/Windows platforms
• Develop and maintain automation using PowerShell, Bash, Python and Ansible
• Partner closely with engineering and product teams to improve deployment reliability, scalability and operational efficiency
• Support monitoring, platform maintenance, release management and production stability
• Champion secure by design and cloud first engineering practices

What we are looking for

• 10+ years' experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering or Infrastructure Automation roles
• Strong Azure DevOps experience, including YAML pipelines, environments, approvals and release management
• Advanced scripting skills across PowerShell, Bash and Python
• Experience with Ansible/AWX and enterprise automation frameworks
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux administration
• Hands on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm and containerised deployment models
• Experience in Kafka will be highly desirable!
• Azure cloud expertise and a strong understanding of security, governance and operational best practices
• Experience working in large, complex enterprise environments
