WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Take ownership of a multi-state payroll and benefits function and quickly become the person the organization trusts to keep it moving
• Lead biweekly payroll while bringing structure, consistency, and confidence to the broader process
• Step into a recently implemented UKG environment, understand where things stand, and drive the remaining work across integrations, feeds, benefits, and payroll processes
• Partner closely with HR and Finance to troubleshoot issues, answer questions, and make sound decisions when there is not always a playbook
• Own benefits administration and play an important role in the upcoming open enrollment cycle
• Navigate payroll complexities including multi-state requirements, prevailing wage, and incentive compensation
• Identify what is working, what needs attention, and where processes can become smarter and more scalable.

A BACKGROUND THAT FITS

• Payroll and benefits leadership experience with the ability to take true ownership of the function, not simply execute transactions
• Hands-on UKG experience and the ability to step into the system, understand the current environment, and determine what needs to happen next
• Experience managing multi-state payroll and navigating the complexities that come with supporting a geographically dispersed workforce
• Strong benefits administration experience, including involvement with open enrollment
• Experience with prevailing wage environments is highly valuable
• Comfortable stepping into an evolving environment where every process may not yet be perfectly documented
• Resourceful problem solver who knows how to investigate, find answers, and move issues through to resolution
• Able to operate at the manager level while still being willing to roll up your sleeves and get into the details
• Experience within a private equity-backed, acquisitive, or rapidly changing organization would translate especially well
