Supervisor

Design & Build are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to join a well regarded residential builder with more than 20 years of success in the Melbourne market. Known for their reliability, craftsmanship, and quality delivery, they specialise in architecturally designed residential projects across Melbourne.

This is an exciting opportunity to oversee a diverse portfolio of renovation and new build projects, typically ranging from $550k to $6m in value. You will take ownership of up to five projects at any given time (a mix of larger and smaller builds) ensuring they are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the high standards the business is known for.

Given the volume and variety of projects, you will be supported by an experienced and highly capable on site team, many of whom have been with the business for a number of years. Their expertise and commitment help ensure projects run efficiently and maintain the high level of quality expected by clients.

Working closely with the Director, who remains heavily involved in the day-to-day of the business, this role would suit a Supervisor with a carpentry background who takes pride in quality workmanship, has a keen eye for detail, and enjoys leading projects from start to finish while driving strong outcomes for clients and the business alike.

What the role will involve:

• Managing all on-site activities for several concurrently running projects
• Planning daily and weekly schedules, allocating work, and tracking progress
• Ordering and coordinating materials, tools, and equipment
• Ensuring site safety, compliance, and presentation standards are maintained
• Liaising with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams
• Representing the business professionally with clients, consultants, and trades

The ideal candidate:

• Carpentry background with proven experience delivering multiple high-end renovations, extensions, and/or new builds valued $3m+
• Ability to lead, coordinate, and motivate site teams
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, premium finishes, and site logistics
• Confidence reading and interpreting plans and drawings, with excellent attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving skills and initiative
• Ability to manage multiple projects & priorities while maintaining quality and control
