Technical Team Lead - .net development

Technical Team Lead | SaaS Engineering Leadership | Hybrid London | £85k+

Are you a senior engineer or technical lead who enjoys staying hands-on, but is ready to take on more leadership responsibility?

We’re looking for a Technical Team Lead to join a rapidly growing, well-funded SaaS business at an exciting stage of its growth journey.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you’ll continue to code, shape architecture and make key engineering decisions, while supporting and guiding a growing development team. Over time, this role will evolve into a more formal engineering management position, so we’re particularly interested in candidates who have some experience managing or mentoring a small team but still love being technically involved.
You’ll play a key role in building a scalable cloud platform, influencing engineering practices and helping shape the future technical direction of the business.

What you’ll be doing:

• Leading technical decisions across a modern SaaS platform
• Remaining hands-on with development using .NET (latest versions)
• Designing and building scalable microservices and REST APIs
• Working with Azure technologies including Function Apps, Service Bus, Key Vault and Cosmos DB
• Managing and improving CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
• Supporting and mentoring engineers, with the opportunity to grow into full people management
• Collaborating closely with product and engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions

What we’re looking for:

• Strong commercial experience within a SaaS environment
• A senior engineering background with experience across varied technical challenges
• Strong experience with .NET, microservices and REST APIs
• Hands-on Azure experience (Functions, Service Bus, Key Vault, Cosmos DB)
• Experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
• Previous experience mentoring or managing a small engineering team while remaining hands-on
• A passion for building great software and helping teams succeed

• Azure API Management (APIM)
• Azure Container Apps (ACA)
• Azure AD B2C / identity experience
• Azure certifications
