The company is seeking a talented Systems Engineer with strong Microsoft Intune experience to join a highly skilled team.
Position Overview:
The Systems Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure and systems, with a particular focus on modern endpoint management via Microsoft Intune. Working closely with the broader team, you will ensure the seamless performance of the organisation's systems, networks, and devices, providing both support and strategic solutions to meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain IT systems, ensuring they are secure, reliable, and scalable.
- Manage and administer Microsoft Intune for device enrollment, configuration profiles, compliance policies, and application deployment across Windows, iOS, and Android devices.
- Support and optimise the broader Microsoft 365 / Endpoint Manager ecosystem, including Autopilot, conditional access, and co-management with SCCM (where applicable).
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, and networking issues in a timely manner.
- Manage and monitor servers, networks, and cloud infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with other teams to deploy new systems and enhance existing ones.
- Implement and maintain system backups, disaster recovery plans, and business continuity strategies.
- Perform regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and ensure compliance with industry best practices, including device compliance and security baselines within Intune.
- Provide technical support for system-related incidents, resolving them effectively and efficiently.
- Document system configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and compliance.
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support when required.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) as a Systems Engineer, Systems Administrator, or similar role in an enterprise environment.
- Strong, hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune (device compliance, configuration profiles, app deployment, Autopilot) is essential.
- Strong knowledge of server operating systems (Windows Server, Linux), networking protocols, and hardware management.
- Experience with virtualisation technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.) and cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS beneficial).
- Familiarity with the broader Microsoft 365 stack (Entra ID/Azure AD, conditional access, Defender for Endpoint) highly regarded.
- Hands-on experience with system automation and scripting tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
- Familiarity with IT security best practices and relevant tools (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS).
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems and network issues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
