About the role
The organisation is seeking a hands-on Accounts Manager for a part-time contract role, covering a maternity leave period until February 2027. This position is ideal for a professional who can quickly adapt, take ownership of the accounting function, and manage operations with minimal supervision.
Key responsibilities
  • Manage trust accounting operations, including daily receipting of trust monies
  • Allocate and reconcile trust transactions while ensuring compliance with legal standards
  • Oversee the firm's day-to-day financial operations, including payables, receivables, and general ledger management
  • Process payroll end-to-end and coordinate with external accountants on reporting obligations
  • Liaise with external accountants and auditors to support audit processes and financial reporting
Skills & experience
  • Proven experience in legal accounting, specifically with trust accounts
  • Strong capability in using Affinity software without the need for training
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and take full ownership of the accounting function
  • Professional demeanor and reliability, with a strong cultural fit for the organisation
