Join our dynamic manufacturing team in Glendale, AZ, where you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and production equipment. Your expertise will ensure operations run safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates will possess strong industrial electrical experience and a solid understanding of PLCs and industrial controls.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems and production equipment.
- Minimize equipment downtime by troubleshooting electrical, controls, and automation issues.
- Maintain and repair motors, drives, electrical panels, and power distribution equipment.
- Work with PLCs, sensors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and industrial control systems.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Run conduit, pull wire, terminate wiring, and safely connect/disconnect equipment.
- Diagnose electrical faults and determine appropriate corrective actions.
- Safely work within electrical panels and follow established electrical safety procedures.
- Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and other company safety procedures.
- Support the installation, maintenance, and repair of facility and plant electrical systems.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment safely and effectively.
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.
- Communicate effectively with maintenance, production, engineering, and management teams.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of industrial electrical or industrial maintenance experience.
- Strong understanding of 3-phase electrical power, motors, VFDs, PLCs, and industrial controls.
- Experience troubleshooting electrical and control systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and rotating equipment.
- Familiarity with industrial sensors, including flow, level, temperature, and proximity sensors.
- Knowledge of electrical safety practices and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a maintenance team.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in Electrical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field preferred; equivalent apprenticeship, military, or hands-on experience will be considered.
- Positive attitude and willingness to both receive and provide constructive feedback.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights of up to 25 feet.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and work in and around manufacturing equipment for extended periods.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and respond to equipment issues as needed.
