Chandler Macleod is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Principal Workforce Standards Advisor to support the delivery of workplace standards, employee relations and conduct management functions within a large and complex organisation. 

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced employee relations, workplace investigations or workplace standards professional to provide leadership, guidance and oversight across performance, conduct and grievance management matters while supporting a network of specialist advisors and key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

As the Principal Workforce Standards Advisor, you will be responsible for:
  • Providing leadership, guidance and support to a network of Workplace Standards Advisors.
  • Advising leaders on complex conduct, grievance, disciplinary and performance management matters.
  • Conducting research and providing strategic advice on workforce standards, workplace conduct and employee relations issues. 
  • Developing and reviewing policies, procedures and frameworks that support effective people management practices. 
  • Conducting quality assurance reviews and audits to ensure consistency and compliance across case management processes. 
  • Preparing reports, briefings, submissions and stakeholder communications.
  • Building capability through coaching, mentoring and stakeholder engagement.
  • Partnering with internal and external stakeholders to improve workplace standards and organisational outcomes. 

About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
  • Significant experience in employee relations, industrial relations, workplace standards, integrity, investigations or related functions. 
  • Strong knowledge of conduct management, grievance resolution and performance management processes. 
  • Experience managing complex and sensitive workplace matters in a large or highly regulated environment.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing and relationship management skills. 
  • Proven ability to lead, coach and develop individuals and teams.
  • Excellent written communication skills, including experience preparing executive correspondence, reports and submissions. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with a focus on practical outcomes. 

Highly Desirable Experience
  • Human Resources, Employee Relations or Industrial Relations qualifications. 
  • Experience within government, emergency services, healthcare, corrections, education or other highly regulated environments. 
  • Experience managing workplace investigations, misconduct matters or integrity-related functions. 
  • Background leading specialist advisory or case management teams.
