Our Dubai office is seeking a highly skilled and motivated UK qualified solicitor with 1-3 years PQE to join our dynamic Insurance Litigation team advising on financial institutions, property, marine, professional indemnity and business continuity matters.
Role Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and advising on a range of insurance litigation matters:
- Litigation Management: Handle and manage a caseload of insurance litigation matters, particularly focusing on financial lines such as directors and officers (D&O) liability, professional indemnity, and errors & omissions (E&O).
- Client Advisory: Provide comprehensive legal advice to clients on various insurance litigation matters, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies and client advisories.
- Document Preparation: Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
- Court Representation: Represent clients in court proceedings, arbitration, and mediation as required.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored legal solutions.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues in the insurance litigation team and across other practice areas to deliver high-quality legal services.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: LLB or equivalent law degree; LPC/SQE completed.
- PQE: 1-3 years of post-qualification experience, specifically in insurance litigation.
- Jurisdiction: Must be a common law qualified solicitor
- Specialization: Proven experience and expertise in financial lines, including D&O, professional indemnity, and E&O.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
Desirable Attributes:
- Previous experience working in the Middle East or a similar international jurisdiction is preferred
- Familiarity with UAE laws and regulations pertaining to insurance litigation would be an advantage
