About the Position
This full-time position will involve teaching English across Years 8–12, with responsibility for delivering engaging learning experiences that strengthen students' literacy, communication, analytical and critical thinking skills. The school is seeking a confident and collaborative educator who can contribute positively to the English faculty and support strong outcomes across junior and senior secondary years. Skills and Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned English programs across Years 8–12 that develop literacy, communication and critical thinking skills.

Maintain high standards of student safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusive classroom practice.

Communicate effectively with students, families and colleagues regarding learning, assessment and student progress.

Collaborate with the English faculty to support curriculum planning, consistent teaching practice and positive student outcomes.

Contribute positively to faculty priorities, professional learning and the broader school community, with the potential to take on leadership responsibilities.
Requirements

Current QCT registration or eligibility for registration.

Relevant secondary teaching qualifications with the ability to teach English across Years 8–12.

Experienced teachers are preferred, with confident graduate teachers also encouraged to apply.

Full Australian working rights.

Two professional referees and completion of HARKE's safeguarding onboarding.
