About the Position

This full-time position will involve teaching English across Years 8–12, with responsibility for delivering engaging learning experiences that strengthen students' literacy, communication, analytical and critical thinking skills. The school is seeking a confident and collaborative educator who can contribute positively to the English faculty and support strong outcomes across junior and senior secondary years. Skills and Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned English programs across Years 8–12 that develop literacy, communication and critical thinking skills.

• Maintain high standards of student safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusive classroom practice.

• Communicate effectively with students, families and colleagues regarding learning, assessment and student progress.

• Collaborate with the English faculty to support curriculum planning, consistent teaching practice and positive student outcomes.

• Contribute positively to faculty priorities, professional learning and the broader school community, with the potential to take on leadership responsibilities.

Requirements

• Current QCT registration or eligibility for registration.

• Relevant secondary teaching qualifications with the ability to teach English across Years 8–12.

• Experienced teachers are preferred, with confident graduate teachers also encouraged to apply.

• Full Australian working rights.

• Two professional referees and completion of HARKE's safeguarding onboarding.
