PMO Manager / Lead

Location: Melbourne or Sydney preferred
Work Arrangement: Remote
Contract: 6 months initially, with potential extension

We are seeking an experienced PMO Manager / Lead to lead and oversee PMO functions within a technology delivery environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead PMO operations across projects and programs.
  • Establish and maintain governance frameworks, processes and reporting standards.
  • Provide oversight of project status, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies and actions.
  • Prepare executive reporting, dashboards and governance packs.
  • Support portfolio planning, financial management and resource tracking.
  • Work closely with Project and Program Managers to ensure consistent delivery governance.
  • Facilitate governance forums and provide clear reporting to senior stakeholders.
  • Identify delivery risks and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Drive continuous improvement across PMO practices, tools and processes.
  • Provide guidance and support to PMO analysts and project support resources.

About You

  • Proven experience as a PMO Manager, PMO Lead, Senior PMO Manager or similar.
  • Strong experience managing PMO functions across complex projects or programs.
  • Excellent understanding of project governance, reporting, risk management and financial tracking.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including experience engaging with senior leadership.
  • Highly organised with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience within technology, transformation or enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Excel and PowerPoint.
