Quantity Surveyor (Civils)

FRS Recruitment are working with a leading Irish Civil Engineering Contractor who are looking to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor for projects across West Cork.

The company has a very strong presence within the Civil Infrastructure sector, delivering major projects across Munster as part of long-term frameworks and public-sector programmes.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established commercial team, with a strong pipeline of work and excellent long-term progression opportunities across the wider business.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial aspects of water infrastructure projects.
• Prepare valuations, variations and monthly commercial reports.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, payments and final accounts.
• Monitor project costs against agreed budgets and forecasts.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities throughout project delivery.
• Work closely with Project Managers and engineering teams.
• Assist with contractual matters and project cost control.
• Support projects from construction through to final account.

Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or relevant construction discipline.
• 3+ years' Quantity Surveying experience, ideally in Ireland or the UK.
• Civil engineering or infrastructure experience would be advantageous.
• Water or utilities project experience would be beneficial.
• Strong commercial, contractual and cost management knowledge.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills required.
• Full driving licence required
