Position Overview
The Transmission Routing Analyst supports the development, optimization, and evaluation of linear infrastructure project routes, including electric transmission lines, natural gas pipelines, water pipelines, and related energy infrastructure.
This role serves as a technical specialist responsible for developing defensible routing recommendations by integrating geospatial, environmental, engineering, land use, permitting, stakeholder, and constructability considerations.
The ideal candidate will support early-stage project development by analyzing constraints, developing routing alternatives, and providing technical insights to multidisciplinary project teams.

- Develop and evaluate routing alternatives using company routing tools and geospatial systems.
- Conduct desktop assessments and support occasional field-based assessment activities.
- Perform GIS-based analysis to evaluate route opportunities, constraints, and project feasibility.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and project deliverables.
- Support project teams during early-stage infrastructure development.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including engineering, environmental, permitting, planning, and stakeholder groups.
- Provide technical recommendations to support project routing and siting decisions.

- Experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Utility routing and siting
- Electric transmission development
- Pipeline routing
- GIS analysis
- Environmental permitting
- Land planning
- Infrastructure development
- Linear project development
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to integrate multiple technical disciplines into routing recommendations.
- Experience working with geospatial data and analysis tools.
- Ability to support project teams in a collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- 6–10 years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience supporting:
- Electric transmission projects
- Natural gas pipeline projects
- Water pipeline projects
- Renewable energy development
- Data center infrastructure projects
- Other linear infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of:
- Electric transmission development
- Renewable energy generation projects
- Data center development
- Experience using GIS platforms and geospatial datasets to assess:
- Routing opportunities

- Project feasibility
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in:
