We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join a well-established contractor delivering complex construction and infrastructure projects across a variety of sectors.
You will play a key role in preparing competitive tenders and supporting the successful delivery of projects from bid stage through to handover.
This position is ideal for a commercially astute professional who combines strong technical knowledge with excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit accurate and competitive tender proposals.
- Review project documentation including drawings, specifications, schedules, and bills of quantities.
- Develop construction methodologies, staging plans, programs, and pricing strategies.
- Source and evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Participate in tender reviews and ensure compliance with internal governance procedures.
- Attend client meetings, site inspections, and tender presentations as required.
- Assess subcontractor capabilities and undertake tender clarification meetings.
- Maintain tender registers, bid tracking systems, and reporting requirements.
- Coordinate project handovers to delivery teams upon award.
- Provide guidance and support to junior estimating personnel.
- Contribute to process improvements within estimating and tendering functions.
- Assist with identifying future project opportunities and supporting business growth initiatives.
- 5+ years' estimating experience within construction, civil infrastructure, remediation, demolition, or similar industries.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies and project delivery principles.
- Demonstrated experience preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions.
- Proficiency with scheduling software such as MS Project and/or Primavera P6.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contractual documentation.
- Sound commercial acumen and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Proactive problem-solving approach with a focus on achieving outcomes.
- Commitment to accountability, ownership, and delivering on commitments.
