An established and growing property and construction business is looking for an experienced Project Architect to join its expanding in-house architecture team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an architect who is ready to take ownership of projects, lead junior team members and play a key role in delivering practical, large-scale residential developments.
The business has a strong pipeline of projects and is looking for someone who can hit the ground running and independently manage projects across all stages.

The Role
You will be responsible for running projects from early design through to documentation and delivery, working alongside a team of architects and designers.
While you will remain hands-on with project documentation and Revit, the primary focus of the position is project leadership, coordination and delivery rather than sitting purely in a documentation role.
You will:
  • Lead and manage projects across all phases
  • Coordinate design development and documentation
  • Produce and review documentation directly in Revit
  • Coordinate consultants and internal project teams
  • Manage project programmes, deliverables and deadlines
  • Oversee projects through design, approvals and delivery
  • Identify and resolve design and documentation issues
  • Work closely with internal development and construction teams
  • Provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle
  • Lead and mentor junior architects and designers
  • Maintain a high standard of documentation and project delivery
  • Work across multiple projects as they progress through the business
You will have a strong design and technical team supporting you, meaning you won't be expected to do every aspect of the design work yourself.
The key is being someone who can take ownership of a project and drive it forward.
Project Experience The ideal candidate will have experience across:
  • Apartments
  • Multi-residential
  • Social housing
  • Large-scale residential developments
High-end residential experience is not required. The focus is on practical, larger-scale residential and social housing projects.

You will also have exposure to working with government authorities, planning requirements, building codes and relevant approval processes, particularly across social housing developments.

What We're Looking For
We're looking for an architect with approximately 5–10 years' experience.
You will ideally have:
  • Proven experience working as a Project Architect or in a similar project leadership position
  • Strong apartment / multi-residential experience
  • Social housing experience highly regarded
  • Strong understanding of the full project lifecycle
  • Ability to independently run projects
  • Excellent Revit skills
  • Ability to produce and coordinate documentation in Revit yourself
  • Strong technical and construction knowledge
  • Experience coordinating consultants and project teams
  • Ability to lead and mentor junior architects
  • Strong organisation and time management
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
The Team & Culture

You'll be joining a social and collaborative architecture team consisting of mid-level and junior architects, Project Architects and senior leadership.
They want someone who enjoys being hands-on, leading projects and helping develop the people around them.

What You Can Expect
  • Permanent position
  • 4 days in the office / 1 day WFH
  • Strong pipeline of residential and social housing projects
  • Opportunity to run projects independently
  • Significant project ownership
  • Leadership and mentoring responsibilities
  • Support from senior architects and an established design team
  • Collaborative and social working environment
  • Opportunity to grow with a developing business
  • Potential to work across multiple projects and project stages
