A growing regional cancer program in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, is seeking a BC/BE Medical Oncologist with a clinical focus and demonstrated interest in breast cancer to help advance comprehensive, multidisciplinary cancer care across the region.



Position Highlights:

  • Develop a predominantly breast-focused medical oncology practice within an established regional cancer program
  • Treat patients with early-stage, locally advanced and metastatic breast cancer
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team spanning breast surgery, radiation oncology, radiology, pathology, genetics and supportive care
  • Help shape clinical pathways, quality initiatives and program growth
  • Participate in multidisciplinary breast cancer conferences and treatment planning
  • Manage contemporary therapies, including chemotherapy, endocrine therapy, immunotherapy, HER2-directed therapy and targeted agents
  • Maintain flexibility to treat other solid tumors based on physician interest and community needs
  • Support survivorship, high-risk breast services and long-term follow-up
  • Contribute to clinical research initiatives and identify appropriate patients for available trials
  • Serve as a breast oncology resource for referring physicians throughout North Idaho and the surrounding region
  • Practice within a regional cancer program serving northern Idaho, eastern Washington and western Montana
  • Join a program with an NAPBC-accredited breast center and Commission on Cancer accreditation

Qualifications:

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Medical Oncology
  • Demonstrated clinical interest and expertise in breast cancer care
  • Commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered oncology care
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Interest in clinical program development, quality improvement and advancing breast cancer services
