About the Product Design and Technology Teacher Position
This position will commence in Term 1, 2027, with the college seeking Product Design and Technology teachers across a range of specialist areas. As the 2027 timetable is still being developed, the school has flexibility to shape the teaching load around the successful candidate's expertise, including Woodwork, Metalwork and Textiles. An ongoing appointment is available, although a fixed-term contract can also be considered for candidates who prefer this arrangement.

Skills & Requirements

Plan and deliver engaging Product Design and Technology lessons aligned with the Victorian Curriculum

Maintain safe workshop and classroom practices while prioritising student safeguarding and wellbeing

Communicate effectively with students, families and colleagues regarding learning and progress

Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, assessment and practical learning opportunities

Bring expertise in one or more Product Design areas, including Woodwork, Metalwork or Textiles

VIT registration or eligibility to obtain

At least two references from recent employers and completion of HARKE's safeguarding onboarding
