Care Home Head Chef Location: Liverpool Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 DOE Lead a Kitchen That Makes a Difference Every Day. An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Head Chef to lead the catering team within a high-quality residential care setting in Liverpool. This is a rewarding role where your passion for fresh, nutritious food will have a direct impact on the health, wellbeing and quality of life of residents. We are looking for an organised, creative and compassionate leader who can deliver exceptional dining experiences while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, nutrition and kitchen management. The Role Lead and manage the day-to-day operation of a busy care home kitchen. Design and deliver varied, nutritious, home-cooked menus tailored to residents' dietary, cultural and medical needs. Ensure full compliance with Food Hygiene Regulations, HACCP and health & safety legislation. Manage food budgets, stock control, ordering and supplier relationships to minimise waste. Lead, motivate and develop the kitchen team, ensuring high standards of performance. Work closely with care staff, residents and families to provide an enjoyable dining experience. Maintain exceptional cleanliness and organisation throughout the kitchen. Support special events, themed dining experiences and seasonal celebrations. What We're Looking For Previous experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef within a care home, healthcare or hospitality environment. Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to update). Strong understanding of specialist diets, allergens, texture-modified meals and nutritional requirements. Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills. Passion for delivering high-quality food and exceptional customer service. A proactive, hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail.
