About the Company
Davidson is partnering with a leading financial services organisation undergoing a significant technology transformation across its wealth and advice environment.

As the organisation continues to build greater internal engineering capability, they are looking for an experienced Lead Engineer to help establish strong engineering standards, governance and consistent delivery practices across the technology function.

About the Role
As Lead Engineer, you will provide technical leadership across a growing engineering team.

You will work across a fast-moving transformation environment where teams are currently delivering at pace, helping introduce greater consistency, technical discipline and engineering maturity.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Providing technical leadership and engineering thought leadership across the team
• Establishing and embedding engineering standards, principles and governance
• Supporting engineers to deliver consistently against the target architecture
• Reviewing technical approaches and helping improve engineering quality
• Identifying technical risks and issues early and driving them through to resolution
• Working closely with architects, engineers, delivery teams and business stakeholders
• Supporting the broader uplift of internal engineering capability

About You
You will be an experienced Lead Engineer, Principal Engineer or senior technical leader who is comfortable operating across both technology and stakeholder environments.

You will ideally bring:

• Strong experience providing technical leadership within complex enterprise environments
• Demonstrated experience establishing engineering standards, governance and development practices
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience across modern enterprise technology environments
• Experience influencing and uplifting engineering teams without relying on formal people management
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• A proactive approach with the ability to take ownership and drive outcomes
• Experience within banking, wealth management, superannuation, advice or broader financial services is a must!
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Power Platform exposure would be advantageous.
