Occupational Therapist

Here at Talent Quarter, we currently have permanent or fixed term (6–12-month contract) or opportunities for experienced Occupational Therapists in Shepparton VIC.
This is a rewarding opportunity to provide essential healthcare services to regional Australian communities.

The Role:

• Working with older, aged community and people with a disability to maximise their independence at home
• Liaising with clients, carers and families to provide practical solutions to promote independence and safety at home
• Developing goals and care plans to assist patients to remain at home and active within their local community
• Collaborating with other clinicians to offer holistic care to clients referred
• Working with a diverse range of patients and health conditions.
• Working across funding streams such as HACC PYP, CHSP & possibly the minimal NDIS work
• Opportunity to work with Allied Health Assistants to undertake client care programs and equipment trials
• Primarily home-based work with some opportunity for clinic appointments

About You:

• Community OT experience
• Knowledge of Australian Building Standards with Home modifications
• Experience with Scooter assessments, Wheelchair prescription
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a pleasant, kind manner
• Current, valid AHPRA Registrations
• Have a valid Background/ Police Check, plus are able to provide at least 2 working references
• Be comfortable to work in regional setting
• Familiar with funding schemes such as Geat2GO and SWEP is desirable
• Working with the elderly is a bonus!
