SMP Supervisor

Take the lead on a major resources construction project in regional Western Australia, working client-side on a long-term 2/1 roster.

We are seeking an experienced SMP Supervisor to join an owner’s site-based construction management team on a large-scale resources project in WA’s Mid-West.
This is an excellent opportunity to step into a key client-side position, overseeing contractor activities across structural, mechanical and piping works. You will play an important role in driving safety, quality, productivity and schedule performance throughout construction and into commissioning readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate contractor SMP construction activities
• Oversee structural steel, mechanical installation and piping scopes
• Ensure works comply with project drawings, specifications and approved methodologies
• Monitor contractor productivity, quality and schedule performance
• Lead daily pre-starts, toolbox talks and safety interactions
• Identify construction issues, delays and risks, supporting timely resolution
• Coordinate with construction, engineering, QA/QC and HSE teams
• Verify permits, isolations and work fronts are ready before execution
• Review and close out ITPs, inspections and punch-list items
• Support commissioning readiness activities where required

About You

• Demonstrated experience supervising SMP works within resources, mining or heavy industrial projects
• Strong knowledge of structural steel, mechanical installation and piping scopes
• Previous experience working on remote or regional WA sites
• Sound understanding of construction sequencing and contractor management
• Strong safety leadership and commitment to safe work practices
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Trade qualification or equivalent SMP construction experience
• White Card
• Schedule 26 accreditation and compliance
• Current Driver’s Licence
