About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Contract Administrator to support the successful delivery of construction projects from initial planning and procurement through to completion and contract close-out. The role will work closely with project management teams, clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure contractual obligations are met, commercial risks are managed, and projects are delivered efficiently and in accordance with relevant requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate compliance with contract terms, conditions and project requirements.
  • Support projects from initial planning and procurement through to construction completion and close-out.
  • Prepare, review and coordinate contract claims, variations and associated approval documentation.
  • Coordinate procurement, subcontract and supply agreements.
  • Manage the contract close-out process, ensuring all required documentation is completed, reviewed and appropriately recorded.
  • Coordinate relevant permits, approvals, traffic management requirements and regulatory obligations.
  • Conduct project, subcontractor and supplier compliance inspections and formally document findings and outcomes.
  • Identify contractual and commercial risks and escalate issues where appropriate.
  • Support the resolution of commercial issues, disputes and project disruptions through effective administration, negotiation and communication.
  • Maintain accurate project records and ensure documentation is complete, current and accessible.
  • Work closely with site personnel to coordinate subcontractor and material procurement in line with project schedules.
  • Assist with forward planning across work packages and project phases to maximise project efficiency.
  • Support contract completion activities, including close-out meetings, documentation, records and lessons learned.
  • Assist with estimating, tendering and procurement activities as required.
  • Maintain strong professional relationships with clients, subcontractors, consultants and suppliers.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, lessons learned and the development of improved project processes.
  • Stay current with construction industry practices, methodologies, technologies and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare required documentation and reports within agreed timeframes.
  • Participate in project and team meetings and contribute to broader business initiatives.
  • Undertake other duties as reasonably required by management.
About You
  • A qualification in Contract Administration, Construction, Project Management or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 5+ years' experience within construction project delivery in Western Australia.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting or delivering construction projects of significant value.
  • Experience managing multiple projects, contracts or work packages concurrently.
  • Strong understanding of construction and building contracts.
  • Experience with subcontractor management, procurement and contract administration.
  • Demonstrated client liaison and stakeholder management experience.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify, assess and escalate contractual risks.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative and operate effectively within a project team.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

  • Wharf and waterfront construction
  • Civil construction
  • Major infrastructure projects
  • Complex subcontractor environments
