Searson Buck is recruiting an experienced Machine Operator to join our client’s Waste Management team. This casual role suits a safety-conscious operator who enjoys a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and wants to support sustainable waste management in the local community.

About the role
Working in a busy waste transfer setting, you will help manage waste streams safely and efficiently while providing practical assistance to customers.
• Operate front-end loaders, excavators and Moxy equipment
• Drive heavy combination trucks as required
• Assist customers with waste drop-off and direct materials to the correct areas
• Adapt to changing operational priorities and support the wider team
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, service and environmental best practice

About you
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
• A current HR Truck Licence as a minimum, HC highly regarded
• Demonstrated experience operating heavy vehicles
• Proven experience with front-end loaders, excavators 22T to 36T) and Moxy equipment
• Strong communication skills and a customer service mindset
• The ability to work collaboratively, respond to changing priorities and work weekends when required
• Excellent attention to detail, including the ability to identify and direct waste correctly
Highly regarded
• Previous experience in machine operation or waste management
• Familiarity with the water, waste or environmental sector
• A demonstrated commitment to sustainability and environmental best practice
