Junior Construction Project Manager/Project Coordinator

We are seeking a motivated Project Coordinator or Junior Project Manager to join a highly regarded commercial construction business delivering exciting fit-out, refurbishment, and new build projects across Canberra and the ACT region.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious construction professional who wants to develop their project management capabilities while working alongside experienced industry leaders on projects that make a real impact.

The Role
Working closely with Senior Project Managers and site-based teams, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of commercial construction projects from planning through to completion.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the management and delivery of commercial construction projects
• Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and project stakeholders
• Monitoring project programmes, budgets, procurement, and project documentation
• Supporting contract administration and cost control processes
• Managing RFIs, variations, progress claims, and project reporting
• Ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and project management systems
• Attending site meetings and assisting with project delivery activities
• Building strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:

• 1-3 years' experience in commercial construction as a Project Coordinator, Contract Administrator, Site Engineer, Project Engineer, or similar
• Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering, Building, or a related discipline
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• A proactive attitude and genuine desire to build a long-term career in project management
• Experience working on commercial, fit-out, refurbishment, education, health, government, or mixed-use projects will be highly regarded
