This accredited ICU training post offers outstanding clinical exposure, structured education, and a supportive multidisciplinary environment for trainees pursuing a career in Intensive Care Medicine.

This full-time fixed-term role is suitable for doctors seeking CICM-accredited core or elective ICU training within a busy regional and rural critical care setting.

Position Details
  • Position: Intensive Care Registrar
  • Classification: Registrar Year 1 HM25 – Registrar Year 6 HM30
  • Employment Type: Full Time, Fixed Term
  • Contract Dates: 3 August 2026 – 31 January 2027
  • Hours: 86 hours per fortnight
  • Salary: As per award
Training & Clinical Exposure
This position is CICM Foundation credentialed and provides:
  • 6 months of C6-accredited Core ICU training, or
  • 6 months of Elective ICU training
The ICU is accredited for:
  • Phase 0
  • Phase 1
  • Phase 2
  • Phase 3 (Transition Year) CICM trainees
The department supports:
  • CICM Part 1 and Part 2 examination preparation
  • Formal CICM research projects
  • Rural component training requirements
Doctors will gain broad exposure across:
  • Critical care medicine
