Truck & Dog Operator

O'Connor | Immediate Start | Temp-to-Perm

We are seeking an experienced Truck & Dog Operator for an immediate start, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience operating a truck and dog combination in the earthmoving or civil industry.

A Truck & Dog combination is a tipper truck towing a separate tipping trailer (the "dog"). You will be responsible for safely transporting and tipping materials such as sand, limestone, road base, soil and other fill between yards, suppliers and job sites.

The Role:

Duties will include:

  • Operating a truck and dog combination
  • Transporting and tipping materials safely
  • Loading and unloading materials at various sites
  • Completing daily pre-starts and vehicle checks
  • Following site instructions and delivery schedules
  • General yard/site duties when required

About You

  • Minimum 5 years’ Truck & Dog operating experience
  • Appropriate heavy vehicle licence
  • Confident reversing, coupling/uncoupling and operating the tipping trailer
  • Experience with earthmoving or construction materials
  • Reliable, punctual and hardworking
  • Well presented and professional
  • Looking for stable, long-term work

Hours & Pay

  • 6:00am arrival / 6:20am start
  • Monday–Friday, approximately 55 hours per week
  • Saturdays only occasionally required
  • Pay negotiable depending on experience

This is an immediate requirement, so we're looking for someone who can hit the ground running and is genuinely interested in a long-term opportunity.
