About the Company

This well-established organisation offers supportive leadership, and a team that enjoys working together. The payroll function is currently supporting several project initiatives, and this newly created role will provide essential BAU coverage. You’ll be based in Milton, with easy access to train and bus routes.


About the Role

This is a full-time (38 hours per week) temporary Payroll Officer role for an experienced, steady pair of hands who can step in and keep the wheels turning. You’ll support end-to-end payroll processing while ensuring data integrity and first-class service to employees.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with payroll processing, administration, data entry and system maintenance, ensuring employee records, pay rates and organisational structures are accurate and up to date
  • Preparing and delivering accurate and timely fortnightly and manual payrolls
  • Supporting BAU payroll activities while other team members are seconded to project work
  • Recording and producing payroll process documentation and procedures as required
  • Responding to payroll queries and providing high-quality customer service to employees and internal stakeholders
  • Working effectively in a fast-paced, changeable environment without losing attention to detail


You’ll bring:

  • Attention to detail to ensure accurate calculations of wages, taxes, and deductions
  • Knowledge of payroll legislation, including awards, and compliance requirements
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills to manage figures and resolve discrepancies
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information responsibly
  • Proficiency in payroll systems
