Our client is seeking the services of an energetic and experienced Heath and Safety Manager to join their busy and growing team. This role ensures regulatory compliance, promotes a proactive safety culture, and leads return to work (RTW) processes across all operations.
  
Key Responsibilities:

 
Health & Safety Management
  • Develop, maintain and review WHS policies, procedures, and management systems in line with relevant legislation
  • Lead incident investigation processes, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Conduct and oversee regular workplace inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits
  • Manage hazard identification and risk control programs across all sites
  • Prepare and present safety performance reports, KPIs, and trend analysis to leadership
Return to Work
  • Coordinate and manage return to work programs for injured workers in accordance with workers' compensation legislation
  • Act as the designated Return to Work Coordinator (or oversee this function)
  • Liaise with treating practitioners, insurers, and employees to facilitate timely, safe, and durable RTW outcomes
  • Develop and monitor suitable duties programs that support recovery and maintain productivity
Training & Culture
  • Design and deliver WHS induction and ongoing training programs for all staff levels
  • Build safety capability across the workforce by coaching supervisors and frontline teams
  • Drive a visible, proactive safety culture with strong leadership engagement
Compliance & Reporting
  • Ensure compliance with applicable WHS legislation, codes of practice, and standards
  • Manage statutory reporting obligations and maintain accurate WHS records and registers
  • Coordinate and support internal and external WHS audits and inspections
Qualifications & Experience
  • Tertiary qualification in Work Health & Safety, Occupational Health, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a WHS management role
  • Experience in manufacturing, warehousing, or logistics environments highly desirable
  • Demonstrated experience managing return to work and workers' compensation claims
