An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Purchasing Officer to provide administrative support within a busy procurement function.
Working as part of a collaborative team, you will help ensure purchasing activities are completed consistently and in accordance with established policies, procedures and financial controls.
This role will suit someone with experience in purchasing, procurement administration or finance support who enjoys working with systems, processes and stakeholders.

Working as part of a collaborative team, you will help ensure purchasing activities are completed consistently and in accordance with established policies, procedures and financial controls.
This role will suit someone with experience in purchasing, procurement administration or finance support who enjoys working with systems, processes and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support for purchasing and procurement activities
- Assist with the processing and maintenance of purchasing transactions, including requisitions, purchase orders and goods receipts
- Maintain supplier records and master data within financial systems
- Support the administration of purchasing cards, including record maintenance and reconciliations
- Assist users with purchasing procedures, system enquiries and process guidance
- Support the maintenance and improvement of procurement documentation and procedures
- Maintain corporate stationery stock, including envelopes, letterhead and office paper supplies
- Prepare routine expenditure reports and administrative documentation
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, suppliers and service providers to support purchasing activities
- Previous experience in purchasing, procurement support or finance administration
- Sound understanding of purchasing processes and procedures
- Experience processing purchasing transactions and supporting procurement activities
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established policies and procedures
- Well-developed organisational and time management skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong customer service and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience working with financial systems and business applications
- Relevant experience in purchasing, finance administration or procurement support
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience using TechnologyOne or similar financial management systems will be highly regarded
- Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, suppliers and external stakeholders
- Experience preparing routine reports, correspondence and records
