About the Position

An exciting opportunity is available for a passionate Biology Teacher to join the school immediately. This full-time fixed-term position runs until the end of the 2026 school year, with a strong possibility of extension into 2027. The successful candidate will primarily teach Biology across the secondary years while contributing to a collaborative Science faculty committed to delivering engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences that inspire student curiosity and achievement.

Skills and Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Biology lessons aligned with the Victorian Curriculum and senior secondary requirements.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that promotes student wellbeing and academic success.
• Build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues through effective communication.
• Collaborate with the Science faculty to develop curriculum, assessment, and innovative learning programs.
• Contribute positively to the broader life of the school and uphold its values and expectations.

Requirements

• Hold current VIT registration or be eligible to obtain registration.
• Have full working rights in Australia.
• Provide two current professional referees and complete HARKE's safeguarding and onboarding requirements.
