The Requisition Technician plays a key role in the procurement activities for the refinery. The Requisition Technician duties are typically routine in nature and follow specific guidelines and processes while providing other administrative support to Buyers and other stakeholders, including third party materials suppliers.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Enter and facilitate requisitions in both SAP & Coupa for both Materials and Services, adhering to standard, defined processes and ensuring accuracy of information.
- Perform the role of Purchase Requisition (PR) Technical Screener, serving as the interface between requesting site stakeholders and site buyers.
- Utilize products such as Microsoft Outlook and Coupa to track incoming requests for materials and services.
- Coordinate with site stakeholders and Strategic Sourcing Specialists regarding contract information.
- Request quotations from Supplier for either materials or services as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including assisting with Material Management duties as needed.
Job Requirements
Education and/or Experience: The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- High school diploma, GED, or one year or more related experience and/or training in procurement, inventory management and/or customer service, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Basic computer knowledge of software such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, Access, etc.

- Strong customer service orientation, ensuring needs are met in a timely fashion
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn additional systems such as SAP & Coupa.
- Ability to pass drug screening test prior to the first day of employment
- Ability to meet the eligibility requirements for working in the US without sponsorship for employment visa status
- Ability to pass refinery safety overview (RSO) training prior to first day of employment (e.g. an RSO training course provided by the Occupational Safety Councils of America)
Language Skills
- Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently
