We are looking for expressions of interest from Radiologists who may have trained overseas and are interested in relocating to Regional Australia. This private radiology group is a well-established business with 2-3 radiologists and a team of experienced imaging staff.
The workload is a mix of public and private outpatient services. The catchment area has a population of 100,000, but services the specialist medical needs of a population of around 300,000. The complexity of work is high for a regional area, which provides an interesting work environment.
You’ll be interested in their technology; they are fully digital with equipment mostly less than two years old: 1.5T Siemens MRI, 64 slice Philips and Siemens CT, Symbia T6 SPECT/CT, IU22 and Antares Ultrasound, Siemens and Shimadzu C-arm Fluoroscopy/Interventional rooms, Philips DR and CR General X-ray, and Instrumentarium DR OPG.
There are a number of perks to this job. Working hours are flexible and can be negotiated to suit your requirements. After hours is serviced by a tele radiology service. There is no regular on-call, weekend or out-of-hours work requirement, optimising the opportunity to enjoy the lifestyle that this region has to offer.
The location bridges two states and is within easy access of the capital cities of Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra, serving a combined population of 250,000. The area offers relaxed country living with the facilities of a large modern city. It’s a renowned gourmet food and wine region with rich historical sites, a dynamic arts and cultural scene, and first-class health, education and sporting facilities. It is also surrounded by stunning natural landscapes, including the Murray River and the Australian Alpine region.
This is an opportunity for a specialist qualified Radiologist, who has worked in the USA, UK, Canada, South Africa, or another comparable countries further to grow their skills in a private practice environment. Overseas trained radiologists who have completed RANZCR specialist assessment and are eligible to sit exams will also be considered.
