Davidson is partnering with a leading financial services organisation seeking experienced Industrial Relations professionals to join its established People & Culture function.
With significant activity across enterprise bargaining, organisational change and broader industrial relations initiatives, this is an opportunity to join a highly experienced IR team and contribute to complex, organisation-wide matters.
About the Role
As a Senior Consultant – Industrial Relations, you will provide strategic and tactical IR advice to senior business leaders and People & Culture stakeholders.
Depending on your background and experience, your focus may include enterprise bargaining and Enterprise Agreement activity, or broader strategic and BAU industrial relations, including major change consultation, union engagement, compliance and obligation management.
Key responsibilities may include:
- Supporting Enterprise Agreement strategy, bargaining, negotiation and implementation
- Managing and developing effective relationships with union representatives
- Providing strategic advice on complex industrial relations matters
- Supporting major organisational change and consultation processes
- Advising on industrial instruments, legislation and employment obligations
- Identifying and mitigating industrial relations and compliance risks
- Partnering with senior leaders and People & Culture stakeholders on key business initiatives
- Supporting the implementation and ongoing management of IR obligations and controls
About You
We are interested in speaking with experienced Industrial Relations and Workplace Relations professionals who have worked within large, complex and/or highly regulated organisations.
You will ideally bring:
- Strong specialist experience across Industrial Relations or Workplace Relations
- Experience interpreting and applying Enterprise Agreements, industrial instruments and relevant employment legislation
- Enterprise bargaining and negotiation experience, particularly within unionised environments
- Strong union and senior stakeholder management capability
- Experience supporting complex organisational change and consultation
- A strong understanding of IR risk, compliance and employment obligations
- A tertiary qualification in Industrial Relations, Employment Relations, Human Resources, Law or a related discipline
Financial services experience will be highly regarded, however candidates from other large, complex and unionised environments are encouraged to apply.
