Duration: 18-Month Contract
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support a large utility capital portfolio, leading multiple concurrent projects through every phase of the project lifecycle.
The successful candidate will manage approximately 100-150 small to medium-sized projects while ensuring delivery against scope, schedule, budget and quality objectives.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple capital projects simultaneously from initiation through closeout
- Lead project planning, scoping and execution activities
- Coordinate engineering, permitting, environmental, procurement and construction activities
- Develop and maintain project schedules and project plans
- Monitor project budgets, forecasts and cost performance
- Perform schedule and cost variance analysis
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Coordinate cross-functional project teams and stakeholders
- Lead project meetings, prepare agendas and document meeting minutes
- Track action items and ensure timely completion
- Resolve project issues while maintaining project milestones
- Communicate project status to internal stakeholders and leadership
- Maintain accurate project documentation throughout the project lifecycle
- Support project controls and change management processes
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects
- Strong project scheduling and budget management experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams
- Experience using SAP
- Experience using Primavera P6 or an equivalent scheduling tool
- Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Utility, substation or electrical infrastructure experience
- Engineering or construction project management background
- Experience managing capital improvement or transmission & distribution projects
