Senior Tax Manager


Hybrid Office Policy - 2 days / week working from home

The Senior Tax Manager will be charged with assisting in the preparation and filing of annual returns and perform the role of liaison between the client and Senior Accounting staff.


  

Responsibilities:

     

  • Prepare federal and multi-state tax returns, extensions, and estimated tax payments for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts and exempt organizations
  • Perform tax research
  • Resolve tax notices from IRS or other tax authorities
  • Assist in federal, state, and local tax audits
  • Analyze and review financial statements
  • Work on special projects as needed

 

Qualifications & Skills: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Master’s degree in Taxation
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in a CPA firm
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized
  • Ability to meet deadlines and multi-task
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees
  • Attains highly analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to acclimate and work in a high pace environment
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel
  • Proficient with accounting/bookkeeping software including QuickBooks (desktop & online), Axcess Tax, and Bloomberg BNA
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership skills
