Director of Business Development

We are seeking a Director of Business Development in Hong Kong to support the next phase of growth for our client's fund administration business in North Asia. This role offers an opportunity to sharpen market penetration and build long-term client relationships within the alternatives space

The position is ideal for a commercially minded professional with strong technical and operational understanding of fund administration.
 

• Develop and execute new business opportunities for fund administration services across the region.
• Build relationships with:
  • Alternative fund managers 
  • Banks, prime brokers, fund lawyers, and professional intermediaries
• Expand referral channels and market visibility beyond existing networks.
• Manage the full sales lifecycle, from initial engagement through proposal, negotiation, and onboarding.
• Represent the platform at industry events and networking forums.
• Collaborate with internal operational, client service, and marketing teams.
• Provide market intelligence and feedback to senior management on competitive trends, pricing, and product opportunities.

• 8+ years’ experience within fund administration, asset servicing, or related financial services
• Strong preference for candidates with an operational or fund accounting background.
• Solid understanding of fund structures and administration processes
• Self-starter, able to operate independently and build credibility in the market with proven BD track record. 
• Fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
