Senior Procurement Specialist

About The role
The position offers a genuine senior, individual-contributor procurement role with real category ownership and autonomy. You will take on complex, high-value categories spanning both technology and marketing-related spend, including media, brand, creative and agency-related categories, and will be trusted to run with these independently. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you'll play a key role in easing pressure on category leadership by taking genuine ownership of your portfolio, rather than needing close oversight. 
 
Key responsibilities include:

• Leading complex, high-value market engagements end-to-end, from strategy through to negotiation and contract execution 
• Acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders across marketing, technology and other business functions 
• Independently managing significant sourcing projects, including platform selection processes, agency engagements and broader category initiatives as they arise 
• Proactively identifying opportunities to challenge existing arrangements and deliver stronger commercial outcomes 
• Leading contract negotiation and risk management across your category areas, with the maturity to operate with limited oversight 
• Supporting the development of procurement capability and category strategy more broadly across the team  

About You

• Significant end-to-end sourcing experience, with genuine category ownership in either technology or marketing-related procurement, and the flexibility to work across both 
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the credibility to influence and build trust at senior levels 
• The ability to independently manage complex categories and projects with minimal oversight 
• Strong commercial negotiation capability and sound contractual judgement 
• A collaborative mindset, comfortable moving between categories and adapting to shifting business priorities 
• Enough maturity and confidence to operate autonomously while keeping stakeholders well informed
