Summary of Responsibilities
Based from our UK, US, NL or DE offices, you will be accountable for the end-to-end Plan to Move and Safeguards process design, process health, governance and transformation roadmap across the Group.

This includes the processes and enabling systems used to receive goods, manage inventory, move materials between locations, support inbound and outbound logistics, and maintain the accounting and traceability of safeguarded nuclear material.

The role provides coherent ownership across these two connected end-to-end processes, ensuring that material movements, inventory records and Safeguards information remain controlled across organizational and site boundaries. Group Functions, site leadership and established Safeguards, technical and regulatory authorities retain accountability for their functional strategies, subject-matter policies, operational delivery, people, resources and reserved decisions


Education and Experience
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in warehousing, supply chain operations, inventory management, safeguarding, or regulated logistics environments.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory governance, materials traceability, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP EWM, and nuclear material accounting processes.
  • Experience leading large-scale process improvement or transformation initiatives

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in nuclear, energy, chemicals, or similarly regulated industries.
  • Background in inventory governance, warehouse automation, operational excellence, or safeguarding compliance.
  • Lean / Six Sigma or continuous improvement certification.
  • Experience implementing or enhancing warehouse management, safeguarding, or automation solutions

Job Details

  • Work Location: Urenco USA, Eunice, NM
  • Work Schedule: Professional 9/80 work schedule with minimal night/weekend support. Some nights and weekend work may be required. Employees are also subject to call-outs as needed
  • Travel Required: 20% of the time or less as required
  • Security Clearance Requirement: Controlled Access Area (CAA) Access and an L or Q level security clearance is required
  • Emergency Response Requirements: Emergency Response Organization (ERO) duty may be required; including being on-call (24/7) during your designated team duty week
  • Work Environment: Radiological exposure expectations of < 100 mrem/yr. General Office, Plant Production Areas. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets etc.

Primary Functions

  • Act as the delegated end-to-end owner for the Plan to Move and Safeguards processes, both inside and outside SAP, defining the global process standards, governing approved variations and making process-design decisions where site or functional requirements conflict, while sites and functions remain accountable for operational execution and outcomes.
  • Define and maintain the global process architecture covering goods receipt, warehousing, inventory control, internal material movements, outbound preparation, logistics process interfaces, nuclear material accounting and Safeguards reporting.
  • Establish and govern global process standards and control requirements for goods receipt, warehousing workflows, inventory transactions, material movements, process traceability and Safeguards process execution, ensuring relevant functional policies, technical standards and regulatory obligations are reflected within the processes.
  • Work with Group Planning, Supply Chain Assets and other relevant Group Functions to translate approved functional strategies, policies, logistics requirements and operational priorities into the Plan to Move process and roadmap.
  • Define and govern the process and data requirements supporting Material Balance Areas, nuclear material identifiers, nuclear material accounting and Safeguards reporting, in partnership with the relevant Safeguards and regulatory authorities.
  • Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Compliance, Procurement, and Commercial teams to ensure effective material flow and regulatory compliance.
  • Own the Plan to Move and Safeguards process and enabling-system roadmap, including the business priorities and requirements affecting SAP S/4HANA, EWM, nuclear material accounting solutions, warehouse automation and other relevant capabilities, working with IT and Data on solution design and delivery.
  • Define and govern the business-process requirements at the interfaces between warehousing, inventory, production, quality, Finance, logistics and Safeguards, coordinating with affected GPOs and functions where decisions extend beyond the Plan to Move and Safeguards boundaries.
  • Define and govern process-health measures, transformation KPIs and reporting, using operational and compliance evidence to identify systemic process issues and improvement opportunities.
  • Lead continuous improvement of the Plan to Move and Safeguards processes, using evidence from warehouse performance, inventory accuracy, material traceability and regulatory reporting to identify systemic process, data and technology opportunities.
  • Chair the Plan to Move and Safeguards Process Council and maintain appropriate Communities of Practice to review process health, risks, cross-site issues and transformation priorities.
  • Ensure approved process and system changes have clear implementation ownership and proportionate readiness, communications, training, documentation and adoption arrangements.

Compensation starting at: $ 200126 - $ 250158 / year and up dependent on candidate experience.
